Bungees are ideal for holding tarps and light cargo, but they stretch, so never rely on them alone for heavy loads on the highway; cross-check with rated ratchet straps. The 32 in. size suits mid-size pickups and trailer tie points. Inspect the sheath and hooks before each use and replace any cord showing exposed core or bent hooks.

Stretch bungee cords can recoil; wear eye protection, point the hook away from your face when attaching, and never overstretch toward people or glass.
