Sturdi-Battens support a rain-screen style cavity that helps siding dry and reduces moisture issues on exterior walls. Run battens vertically with fasteners into framing where possible, and align them with your siding attachment points so fasteners reach solid backing. Choose batten spacing to match the siding manufacturer’s nailing requirements.

Handle battens carefully during cutting and installation, and follow fall protection rules when working at wall heights.
