Alex Plus is a go-to all-purpose caulk for trim, molding and window work where you plan to paint, since it takes paint far better than pure silicone. Tool the bead within the 15-minute initial hardening window and keep a damp rag handy for water cleanup. For joints with heavy movement or constant moisture, such as tubs, step up to a dedicated silicone or kitchen-and-bath formula.
