Coated metal drains save field welding labor versus fabricated wraps, since the TPO coating welds straight to the membrane. Set and secure the drain body and clamping ring before running membrane, then weld the coated flange with clean, dry overlaps. For different pipe sizes or scupper details, use the matching Hercules coated accessory rather than forcing a 3-inch unit onto another opening.

Commercial roof work near open drains and hot-air welding equipment carries fall, burn and fire hazards; use fall protection and follow the manufacturer’s installation and safety documents.
