Wide plastic caps hold underlayment and housewrap without tearing the sheet, which is why most underlayment warranties require cap fasteners. This 2,000-count box suits smaller roofs or crews that prefer lighter packaging. Verify the 1-1/4 in. leg reaches the required depth in your deck before ordering.

Drive cap nails with eye protection; plastic caps can crack or shard, and nails left proud can snag underlayment.
