Measure the interior opening first: height, width, and depth, including face frame stiles on framed cabinets. Pick single bins for narrow cabinets and doubles where you want waste and recycling side by side; the 50 qt tall models need a deeper cabinet opening. Bottom-mount side-wall hardware is sturdier than door-mount for heavy loads, and soft-close slides are worth it in busy kitchens.

Do not overload the containers or lean on the extended pullout, which could tip or damage the slides.
