Curb mounted solar venting skylights are a good pick when you want fresh air without wiring, especially on roofs where a deck-mounted unit is not specified. Build the curb to the manufacturer’s height and flash it properly for the roof covering to keep water out. Position it high in the room for stack-effect ventilation and check local code requirements for glazing near walkable surfaces.

Operable skylights must be installed per the manufacturer’s instructions and local codes, including any glazing safety requirements; use fall protection during roof installation.

Add fresh air and daylight with the Velux VCS solar powered curb mounted venting skylight.
